inspiration board: #71: tuscan dreams

Hello lovelies! Was it a wonderful weekend for you? I had fun at Fetcham Park’s Tea on the Terrace on Saturday afternoon soaking up the luxurious environment and catching up with lots of very talented suppliers, including the lovely Jay Archer of Jay Archer Floral Design, Emma Meek from Miss Bush Bridalwear and finally meeting Krishanthi from Cakes by Krishanthi, who was displaying an amazing painted cake inspired by the beautiful ceilings in the house. It was also lovely to catch up with curator and owner of Fetcham Park, Laura Caudery, who was busy making sure everyone was having a great day in her usual bubbly way.  I met a few new suppliers too, who I can wait to introduce to you, there’s plenty more from this beautiful event to come!

Back to this morning, and I am absolutely delighted to share with you an inspiration board created especially for one of my lovely readers, Amy Rosa.  Amy got in touch with me a couple of weeks ago for a little advice with her colour palette.  I really do love it when you get in touch, and just love putting together boards to help inspire your day!  Amy’s wedding already sounds pretty amazing! She is getting married in a beautiful Tuscan-style venue in the autumn, and has chosen soft but modern yellow and grey colours (my favourite!) but just needed a little help choosing the final details.  I suggested we added a soft green to the palette to give the scheme a more natural feel, achieved by introducing olive and silvery green foliage and succulents to the flower arrangements and bouquets, and perhaps even soft green bridesmaids dresses which would make pretty yellow bouquets really pop!  To work with the autumn setting, the introduction of just a few sunflowers adds a little warmth and a nod to the sunflower filled fields of Tuscany, how stunning is this wedding cake?  The perfect combination of rustic touches and contemporary style.  Rustic tables laden with wine, bread and cheese, either as a drinks-hour snack or after dinner feast adds a touch of authenticity, while wine cork place cards and using lemons as decor add a hint of the essence of Tuscany.

Amy, I really hope this has inspired you!  I can’t wait to hear more about your wedding plans, and am very excited to see your day come together!
