guest post: wedding branding {baci designer}
I’m going to share a little secret with you today, I LOVE of wedding branding! There are so many opportunities to bring a little bit of uniqueness to your day by weaving a theme through all those lovely little details, not just your invites!
Amanda from Baci Designer is one of my favourite bespoke wedding stationers + event planners (we’re actually working together on a little project at the moment, so stay tuned for the results!) and she shares my love of all things wedding branding! So today we’re welcoming Amanda to share some of her ideas on how to include that little bit of YOU throughout your day!
Hi!! I’m Amanda from baci designer stationery + events - a custom stationery and event planning boutique. A huge thank you to Louise for having me
)
You’ve heard the saying, “It’s all in the details” right? Well, it couldn’t hold more truth than on your wedding day!! You can call it a brand, a motif or a theme, but whatever you choose to call it, the details of your wedding are important (and they’re our most favorite part to plan!!). From the save the date you send after your engagement, all the way through to the favor your guests take home at the end of the night. The details of your wedding will be memorable to both you and your guests. So we’re here to talk about a ways to brand your wedding day!
The most traditional way to brand your wedding is with a monogram. There are so many ways to create a monogram for you and your fiancé, and as a stationery designer, I’ve designed them all! From the old school to the new modern versions, monograms are a beautiful way to have a continuous theme throughout your wedding day details. Below are a few ways I incorporated a monogram into my own wedding and into my clients’ big days!
When my husband, Ilario, and I were married in 2007, I took our married monogram, “ICA” (which coincidently happens to also be Ilario’s personal monogram – lol!), and put it, not only on our invitations, programs and favors, but also on the glass doors as you entered both the ceremony and reception venues. It was a beautiful way to greet our guests at both locations! My favorite thing I did with our monogram was having it hand-stitched at the base of my cathedral-length veil. I hope to pass it down as a keepsake to my children someday and I love the idea of creating a meaningful tradition!
Clients, Erin and Marshall, had individual monograms opposite of one another, “EM” and “ME”. I designed their joint monogram by playing off the mirrored effect of their own monograms. Their very unique monogram was then printed on every piece of wedding stationery – invitations, welcome letters, crossword puzzles in the welcome bags, programs, escort cards, place cards, table numbers, menus and even on the mix CD that guests received as favors!
A monogram doesn’t have to be just your initials. For clients, Jenny and Mike, I designed a monogram with their names and a beautiful ampersand! We continued their monogram on the wedding invitation suite, rehearsal dinner invitation suite (complete with my favorite thing ever – a return address embosser!!), ceremony programs and even into the reception stemware. At each point of the wedding, from being invited to share in their special day to toasting the happy couple, guests were greeted by their modern monogram!

A wonderful way to brand your wedding is with a design or shape that is either meaningful to you and your groom or specific to the location of your wedding. In the board above, a bumblebee ties together the details of a garden wedding for a couple sharing the same last name initial, “B”. From the stationery to a pin on the back of her dress, the bumblebee brands the wedding beautifully!

One of the most modern and unique ways to brand your big day is to create a themed wedding. You and your groom need to be fully committed (and very creative!), but a themed wedding can be so much fun for your guests!! Think a circus wedding complete with a striped invitation suite, a big top reception, popcorn and cotton candy as late night treats, just like in the board above!!
No matter how you choose to brand your wedding, whether it’s with a modern-day monogram or a rose garden theme, enjoy the planning process!! Remember this day is about you and your soon-to-be husband – the details and plans should reflect who you are as a couple, bringing your guests closer to you both in the process. Enjoy and happy planning!!
Thank you so much Amanda! So many brilliant ideas, now I love wedding branding even more! Just how amazing is that monogrammed cathedral length veil?
